About Mekosha Therapy

A gentle, body-aware approach to healing and self-understanding

Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes we find ourselves feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from ourselves. Other times, we’ve spent so long adapting to the needs of others that we’ve lost touch with what we need.
Counselling offers a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. It is a place to slow down, be heard without judgement, and explore what’s happening beneath the surface.

Hi, my name is Jaci, I am a registered counsellor, yoga and meditation teacher and practioner. My way of supporting others is through integrating embodiment (awareness of your body) practices and mindfulness into talk therapy sessions. I provide a safe, empathetic, neuro-affirming space for healing and growth.
I work with people facing many different challenges, including anxiety, depression, past addiction, low self-worth, and life changes such as bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, or relocation.

I am particularly drawn to working with
neurodivergence, high sensitivity and burnout. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, helping you better understand yourself, develop practical ways of coping, and reconnect with your own strengths. Whether you’re seeking support through a difficult period or looking for deeper personal growth, you’re welcome here.

Approach

What clients can expect

My work brings together counselling, somatic-based therapies, yoga, and meditation to support clients as a whole rather than focusing solely on thoughts or symptoms. I recognise that our experiences are held not only in the mind but also in the body, so I integrate nervous system awareness, mindfulness, and body-based practices alongside evidence-based counselling and psychotherapy. This allows me to tailor therapy to each person’s needs, whether they’re looking for practical coping strategies, deeper self-understanding, or greater emotional regulation.

Somatic awareness

I work best with clients who are curious about their internal landscape, open to mind–body approaches, and ready to explore their experiences with compassion.

Integrative care

What sets me apart is my ability to integrate traditional counselling with body-based approaches in a way that feels natural and individualised. I don’t believe healing happens through talking alone. I help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and nervous system interact, and together we explore practical ways to restore balance and resilience.

Rather than applying the same approach to everyone, I tailor therapy to each client’s goals, preferences, and readiness for change. Whether we’re working through anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, or life transitions, I aim to provide a therapeutic experience that is collaborative, compassionate, and empowering.
